FreshBooks and Wave are primarily accounting tools. Harvest is a time tracker. None of them treat the full freelance workflow — from proposal to contract to time-tracking to invoicing to analytics — as a connected system. AI Clientli was designed from the ground up for independent professionals who need a single command center, not another accounting add-on. You also never pay per-invoice or per-seat fees on Pro.

Yes. AI Clientli supports CSV import for clients, projects, and invoice history. If you're migrating from FreshBooks, Wave, Harvest, or Toggl, we have dedicated import guides that walk you through the process in under 20 minutes. Your historical data stays yours — you can also export everything at any time.

Never. You pay a flat monthly or annual subscription — AI Clientli does not take a cut of your earnings at any tier. Payment processing fees (charged by Stripe or PayPal) are the only transaction-level costs, and those go directly to the payment processor, not to us.

When you close out a billing period, AI Clientli pulls all logged billable hours for a client, applies your hourly rate (or project-level overrides), and pre-populates a ready-to-send invoice. You review, adjust if needed, and send — no manual data entry, no spreadsheet in between. Time entries can also be attached as line-item detail for full transparency with clients.

AI Clientli's desktop app runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows. A companion mobile app for iOS and Android is in active development and expected in Q2 2025 — early access is available to Pro subscribers. The web version is fully mobile-responsive and works on any device browser today.

Your data belongs to you. If you cancel, you have 30 days to export everything — clients, projects, invoices, contracts, time entries — in CSV or PDF format. We don't delete your data immediately; you'll receive export reminders before any data is removed. We also offer a read-only archive mode for 12 months post-cancellation on request.
